Favoritism / προσωποληψία: an idiom, that literally means, to accept a face; to make unjust distinctions between people by treating one person better than another.

Favoritism is judging others by external appearances alone. The action described by this word is always evil in Scripture.

Favoritism is only used four times in the New Testament: Romans 2:11, Ephesians 6:9, Colossians 3:25, James 2:1.
